Many years from now, blind hate between North and South Korea is going to increase… People are going to hate each other,(though having the same culture), for really no particular reason. All original, unified, Koreans were tortured by the Japanese, originated from China… Hell they even speak the same language. They literally have the same culture and have both gone through hard times together.

I understand they had a war, but that was mostly because they couldn’t decide on the government they wanted. All because of that, they have grown hate for each other. As a Korean and a human, it’s honestly depressing to know that such a relationship can be thrown away because of that.

I’m obviously over simplifying it and not factoring in that Asian people are already really dramatic, but still..

I honestly also don’t believe how “alien” American/Western press makes North Korea seem. We just don’t share the same views and culture as them. Of course they seem brainwashed and fake, but you have to take into account their perspective as well..

**BREAKING NEWS**
Many Americans/Koreaboos arrive in South Korea, finding out it’s worse than living in the US.

"Where’s G-Dragon???" many ask, as they proceed to get scammed while getting off the plane…

This has become a widespread epidemic, also occurring in Japan, but with anime.

Cartoon = A simple drawing showing the features of its subjects in an exaggerated way, in a newspaper or magazine.Anime = Japanese movie or television animation. Animated Cartoon = Shows like Spongebob or something.Anime was adapted into the English language similar to the way “tortilla” was. There’s no word in English for a tortilla. Just like how there’s no word for “anime” in English. If it was a cartoon then it would be called a cartoon. Only ignorant people that think they’re not weeaboos don’t realize this.

Anime is cartoons. It is Japanese-style cartooning. Anime and manga were directly inspired by American cartooning and animation. Sorry to break it to you.

^^^ as much as I hate people calling anime cartoons, anime is cartoons, just japanese ones.

"Anime" is the Japanese borrowed word, stemming form the English "animation," used to describe moving drawings. It’s a cartoon, and you’re all just going to have to get the flying fuck over it.

If so, then why does American society call it “anime”? We might as well call it “animation” or “cartoon”.
Through this observation it’s evident that there is a separate classification for Japanese cartoons. They were not inspired by American cartooning/animation. The Japanese created their own version of “cartoons” through experimentation SIMILAR to what Western societies developed.
I’m not someone who gets mad when anime is called cartoons. I’m someone who gets mad at ignorance. Assumption is an idiot’s language.

There’s no good reason to call it anime over cartoon other than to specify that we are talking about Japanese cartoons. I suppose Americans saw it for its distinct style and decided give it an extra special name. Japanese don’t have that distinction, to them American cartoons are also anime, because that’s their word for cartoon.
If you’re going to get mad at ignorance, you might wanna deal with your own first.
Japanese anime industry owes its entire style and existence to Disney’s cartoons. Without Disney there would have never been an anime boom in Japan.

Disney cartoons INFLUENCED many animators; however, it did not spark anime in general.
People don’t just decide “oh wow das amazing lemme give it a special name”. No.
You also assume that Japanese people as a whole perceive Anime as a cartoon by saying “Japanese don’t have that distinction” and “to them American cartoons are also anime”. That’s a logical fallacy.
Like I said before:

Cartoon = A simple drawing showing the features of its subjects in an exaggerated way, in a newspaper or magazine.
